In the event of Coronavirus outbreak and the current situation worldwide related to the said Virus, we find ourselves in UAE, in a country whereby its Wise Leadership has done the impossible to ensure the safety of its people and the Residents:

  1. Food and Medicine Supply has been secured as to avoid any disruption

  2. Establishment of a New Medical city, that will cater to any number of cases requesting isolation (14 days)

  3. A total amount of 126 Bn AED Stimulus has been approved by the Cabinet to support the slowdown in the economy set off by the Coronavirus outbreak

  4. Abu Dhabi Executive Council launched GHADAN 21, a 50Bn AED 3 years stimulus to boost small and medium enterprises and ease the availability of loans to local companies

  5. On March 17th, the UAE Government calls for Evacuation of all its citizens worldwide and ask them to coordinate with their embassies or call 80044444

  6. On March 18th, UAE Attorney-General HE Hamad Al Shamsi said that anyone coming to UAE should abide by the 14 days Quarantine, and this was a declaration made before the closure of the airports

  7. As well HE Dr Al Shamsi said, the authorities will be very strict against Rumour-mongers as to ensure public safety

  8. National Sterilisation drive to mitigate the danger of the disease spreading

  9. Abu Dhabi and Sharjah governments announced remote work pilot programmes

  10. As of 23rd of March, Only Groceries, Supermarkets, Coops and Pharmacies were allowed to remain open and everything to close for 2 weeks.

  11. Also, the National Emergency and crisis and Disasters and Civil aviation management Authority decided to suspend all inbound and outbound flights and the transit of airline passengers in the UAE for 2 weeks

  12. In the same direction, the below measurements were taken

    A. Restaurants are only allowed to make deliveries and not to receive any clients.

    B. Schools were closed and replaced by distance learning

    C. All public places closed

    D. Beaches closed

    E. Cinemas closed

    F. Malls closed

    G. Elective surgeries put on hold

    H. Wedding halls put on hold, Shisha Cafes, Massage centres and Spas, etc…

13 Thermal screening integrated everywhere as early detection for the Body temperature, hence immediate mitigation of the risk in case the patient is a Coronavirus carrier
14. People in the UAE were asked to use their family cars with a maximum of 3 individuals per vehicle
15. Suspension of congregational prayers of Friday to curb the spread of Coronavirus, hence Prayers at Mosques and all other places of Worship in UAE were suspended as of 9 pm on March 16th
16. Entry for UAE Visa holders halted if outside the country, all pre-approved visas were cancelled, no issuing for new Visas or work permits, except intro corporate transfers
17. Car Registration Renewal to be made online
18. Dubai Economy instructed 80% remote work system for all the private Businesses as of the 25th of March excluding Pharmacies, Groceries, Coops and Supermarkets
19. Dubai Executive council implemented a 100% remote work system as of 29th March 2020
20. In a series of announcements, Abu Dhabi, Dubai and Sharjah governments announced relief for people who may struggle with Rental and banking payments, along with some suspensions related to evictions judgements and postponed payments etc…
21. RTA issues safety measurements for passengers
22. Abu Dhabi Based Banks issued initiatives to support individuals, small and medium businesses, these initiatives included deferring instalments, reducing interest charges, bank charges and down payments
23. Construction of the 2nd largest Lab outside of China in Masdar city that will enable UAE of conducting tens of thousands PCR test per day
